Sellaronda Bike Day: highly successful autumn edition sets new participation record
Sellaronda, September 12, 2026 – The autumn edition of the 20th Sellaronda Bike Day has come to a highly successful conclusion. With around 18,000 registered participants, the event also set a new all-time attendance record for an autumn edition since its launch.
One of the main reasons behind this great success was undoubtedly the clear skies and sunny weather. Despite rather chilly temperatures of around 5°C in the early morning hours, conditions became ideal throughout the day for the many cyclists taking part.
Compared with the June edition, the composition of participants was also noticeably different. While in June the four Dolomite regions surrounding the Sella massif welcome an increasing number of international guests, today’s edition was attended predominantly by Italian and German-speaking cyclists.
The organisers from the four regions surrounding the Sella massif expressed their great satisfaction with this year’s edition of the Sellaronda Bike Day. The high number of participants and the positive atmosphere along the route once again highlighted the importance of the event for the entire region.
The organising committee emphasised that an event of this scale is only possible thanks to the close cooperation between the Ladin valleys, the commitment of numerous volunteers, and the essential support of local and provincial authorities.
In its 20th edition, the Sellaronda Bike Day once again demonstrated in an impressive way how sport, nature and cooperation between the Ladin valleys can come together to create an event of great value for the entire region.
